We were pleased to be approached by a Qatar based retailer that was at the beginning of a new IT transformation journey. Their initial requirement was for a consultant that had been on an oracle retail and ebusiness suite transformation journey before and could therefore guide the company through picking a partner and the entire transformation programme.
Due to the start up nature of this company, their journey was not just about establishing strong IT systems, they needed everything. This included building construction, hiring for all departments, partnering/brand agreements for stock, initial setup of pricing, legalities and marketing.
Their mission was to become a high-end shopping destination, that would draw in the regions wealth to engage in trips to Qatar, rather than London, Milan or Paris.
As the project started, we quickly became a reliable IT resourcing partner and overtime built an entire IT department. Due to the success of this partnership, we were approached to provide staffing for alternative business areas. It was an exciting opportunity to enter into a new recruiting space. Throughout the partnership we recruited Store Managers, Concession Mangers, Buyers, Planners and Store Operations support.
The client was primarily focused on recruiting permanent team members who would be there for years to come, to ensure the successful launch and growth of the department store. Global Intec’s search for candidates involved looking outside of Qatar for experienced hirers and then support these candidates through the relocation process.
We very much enjoyed our time working with them and are pleased they have had such a successful launch.
